The audience of Radiohead are middle-aged and older men with political, left-wing views as this mirrors Radiohead’s viewpoints. The band are known for their political and societal commentary. The intertextual references in Burn the Witch are importantly linked to the audience as the references to The Wicker man film and Camberwick Green will be understood by the older audience, likely allowing them to relate more to the ideology being represented.   Prospect is a British current affairs magazine specialising in politics and economics. The masthead is recognisable as the same logo is used on every issue of the magazine and the name of the magazine suggests someone who is likely to succeed. This has connotations of the readers of the magazine becoming prospects, possibly because of the topics covered in the magazine. This magazine breaks some codes and conventions as a magazine on their front cover. The main unique selling proposition would be that the covers are usually illustrated or collaged as opposed to having main images of celebrities and relevant people on the cover. This magazine also includes a tagline. ‘Think again, think prospect’ which implies that readers should choose Prospect as it is a magazine for educated and well-informed people.
